The letter at the link below was written by my grandfather, Frederick Blake Porteous, to my uncle Don. It provides interesting insights into my family's new life in British Columbia shortly after their arrival in the province. I'm looking for Jonathan or Dion Clement, sons of Wilfred Clement and grandsons of Maurice Reid Clement. Maurice was a former player for the Hamilton Tigers football team (as they were known in the 1920s) and later in life ran a real estate agency in Mimico, Ontario (now part of the city of Toronto). Maurice Reid Clement and my grandfather, Frederick Blake Porteous, were cousins. Maurice's mother was Josephine Reid and Fred's was Josephine's sister, Maggie Reid. My information is primarily from the death notice in the image below. Are you out there?
