The new wiki engine consumes less disk space and has some useful features: |
| • | ability to 'subscribe' to a page and receive an email whenever that page is updated |
| • | nicely implemented graphics file handling |
| • | easily changed layout templates and stylesheets |
| • | compatibility with Brinkster's PHP-based email |
| • | vertical listing of included graphics (as opposed to a horizontal list) |
Questions (relevant to this Brinkster/Windows-hosted Web site) |
| | | Is it possible to create a farm of 'subsites' that can run from a single version of QwikiWiki? |
| | | How can I easily extend QwikiWiki so as to call up my own custom PHP routines, one of which accesses my TNG genealogy database in order to provide an 'on this day' function? |
| | | I am having trouble with notification email messages; when HTML is not check-marked, the messages do not contain any carriage returns or white space; when HTML is check-marked, there is plenty of white space in the message body before the copy of the Web page, but the Web page within the email message itself does not contain any HTML, just plain text. |
| | | It would be great to be able to create a table between HTML tags and still have the system recognize wiki words. |
NOTE: Because I am running on a Windows-hosted Web server, I am using class.phpmailer.php. This may be one of the reasons for my email formatting problems. |
