Blackberry Software Development

This article should really be entitled "The Trials and Tribulations of Setting up a Blackberry Software Development Environment on a Windows computer".

After three days of hitting numerous problems, I have finally given up. I chipped away at a number of obstacles en route to creating a suitable environment, but I just never got there.

If I could download a virtual appliance containing a complete and stable development environment, I would be very, very happy! Does anybody know of one?
